About Lawyer:
Aihan Gasanov currently works as a Lawyer at the non-governmental organization Sapari. He is also a Board Member of the non-governmental organization Platform Salam and a Co-founder of the Yormuganlo Community Center. He is a legal professional holding a Bachelor’s Degree in Law from Tbilisi State University (TSU) and a Master’s Degree in Public Law and Policy from Ilia State University. Aihan Gasanov is a member of the Georgian Bar Association, a licensed attorney with a general legal specialization, and a certified trainer accredited by the Justice Training Center. He has extensive experience delivering over 200 trainings across a wide range of topics and fields. He has additional professional specialization in children’s rights (civil law) and juvenile justice (criminal law). Aihan Gasanov is also a member of the Mediators Association and practices as a mediator. In parallel with his legal practice, Aihan Gasanov is a civil activist and has been actively engaged in the advocacy of legal and systemic issues affecting ethnic minorities since 2018. He has been working in the non-governmental sector since 2019, serving at various times as a project coordinator, co-coordinator, and project assistant. From 2020 to 2023, he worked as a Regional Lawyer for the Public Movement Multinational Georgia (PMMG) within the framework of the Social and Economic Rights Empowerment Centers (SEREC). Since 2018, he has been involved in the electoral process in various capacities. During the 2021 local self-government elections, he served as a Long-Term Election Observer for the Public Movement Multinational Georgia (PMMG) in Sagarejo Municipality. Throughout his career, he has participated in numerous training courses, projects, platforms, and educational programs. He has completed multiple Training of Trainers (ToT) programs in diverse fields, including those organized by NATO, the European Union, advocacy and nonviolent campaigns, and leadership development. He has also successfully completed the Training of Trainers program of the Justice Training Center, as well as specialized election-related trainer programs, including trainings delivered by international experts on new electoral technologies.
